An Accompanying Ministry’ at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Madison – Madison Catholic Herald

MADISON— Two diocesan professional organizations, the Madison Diocese Religious Educators Organization (MDREO) and the Madison Diocese Pastoral Ministers Association (MDPMA), will co-host a program at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison, Tuesday, March 22. from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. entitled “Ministry of mental health: a ministry of accompaniment”.

People with mental health issues are often socially isolated and may even feel isolated from God.

As parishes, and within our parish ministries, how can we help people with mental health issues experience the love of God and their sisters and brothers in Christ?

Deacon Tom Lambert of the Archdiocese of Chicago will speak on how to cultivate awareness, acceptance and companionship so we can walk with those struggling with mental health issues.

During Lent, as we grow in holiness and recognize our own need for healing, let us be witnesses of God’s love and agents of his healing for those with mental health issues within our parish and communities.

Everyone is welcome. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Apostleship for the Disabled-Diocese of Madison, there is no charge for guests to attend.

RSVP online at or by calling Jennifer Ludtke, Director of Evangelism and Outreach at St. Thomas Aquinas, at 608-833-2606, by Friday, March 18.
