Christy Buss, CEO of HEDO, on the path of reinvention and philanthropy

NEW YORK, February 3, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — A life of dance and elegance – Christy Bus spent most of his time in his studio at Los Angeles teach young children and adults the art of dance. She grew up in a family of dancers; his mother also owned a studio. For 28 years she has seen young students grow into adults and some become parents. For Christy, it also opened another door to evolution.

She found herself hungry for more knowledge and had a desire to pivot into the skincare industry. Soon after, she became the founder and CEO of HEDO Skin Care. Fast forward to the present, Christy enjoys her time creating skincare products and perfecting them to deliver the high quality every consumer deserves. She envisions HEDO as a global skincare brand promoting health, self-love and sensual joy. Despite her success as a skincare mogul, Christy hasn’t forgotten to give back to the community.

Covid gave me the cue to let go of my studio as it was impossible to have a brick and mortar while we were being guided not to. It was a terrible thing that happened all over the world, but I admit it was kind of a blessing that told me it was time to venture down a different path.

Fortunately, I entrusted my studio to my assistant; she’s been with me since she was seven.

I lived in Los Angeles since the 80s and has gone through many changes. Homelessness has been a problem and continues to grow. It’s heartbreaking to see tent cities every time I hit the highway. Homelessness is not only about housing issues, but also about taking care of their mental health and well-being. I’ve worked with charities and helped raise money to fund projects all over town. There is so much work to do, but one small step goes a long way.

Christy stays grounded in her vision even at the peak of her success. She aims to continue her mission of helping the homeless through charity work and with her new HEDO line.
