Munster Rugby star backs initiative

Since its inception earlier this year, the Nenagh Community Mental Health Awareness Group has received such a positive response from people everywhere.

The group is dedicated to raising awareness of the services, struggles and strategies that are shaping the path to better mental wellbeing in North Tipperary.

This week we are pleased to announce that Nenagh native and rising Munster Rugby star Ben Healy has joined us as an Ambassador for the Nenagh Mental Health Awareness Community.

Ben is an incredible athlete with a bright future ahead of him and he has become such a role model. We are absolutely delighted to have Ben as our ambassador and we all look forward to working with him.

Ben will play a vital role on our team as we seek to reach out to young and old to raise awareness of mental health in our community and beyond and send a message that it’s ok to not be well and that help is available.

Mental health issues affect people of all ages, but according to organizations like Pieta, we are unfortunately seeing a big increase in the number of young people seeking help.

The Nenagh Mental Health Awareness Community are not medical professionals and will never offer therapeutic intervention under any circumstances.

However, we believe that by raising awareness, sharing information about various mental health issues and highlighting the services available through established organizations, it will help us take a step forward to reach out and help those struggling. silently. The Nenagh mental health awareness community is currently on Facebook and Instagram. We also plan to launch podcasts in the coming months. In addition to this, we will be hosting an official launch in the form of a public meeting in the coming weeks.
