Tropical Storm Ian Update #4

Hillsborough County, Florida (September 25, 2022) – All Hillsborough County offices and facilities will close Monday, Sept. 26 for regular operations to allow staff to focus on the emergency response to Tropical Storm Ian.

The closure includes all libraries, parks, reserves and recreation centers in the county. All county public meetings have also been postponed. The Veterans Memorial Park Open House scheduled for Tuesday, September 27 has been postponed. The open day will be postponed to a later date.

Hillsborough County Solid Waste will continue normal collection operations as scheduled and all solid waste facilities will remain open on Monday, September 26.


Hillsborough County is making sandbags available again on Monday, September 26 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at these locations:

Hillsborough County residents are allowed a maximum of 10 sandbags per vehicle. Residents must show identification proving they live in the county; a driver’s license or utility bill will serve as proper identification.
